City of Vancouver

The city of Vancouver was incorporated in January 23, 1857, and was named for the British sailor and explorer, Captain George Vancouver.

Vancouver is the largest city in Clark County and home to Washington State University-Vancouver and Clark College.

The City of Vancouver received the "All-American City" distinctions in 1957 and 1987.
